Summit Pool Rules & Facts
  • The pool was renovated in 2016​
  • ​The pool is 95,000 gallons!

​Member Access
  • Each family will be given an electronic key fob in order to access the pool.
  • No one will be admitted without a key fob.
  • The first key fob is included in your membership fee.
  • Members can purchase additional key fobs, they cost $35 each.
  • Lost key fobs will incur a replacement charge of $50.
  • ID checks will be conducted periodically during the day by the lifeguard or a member of the pool committee.  
  • Any person who does not have his/her key fob or has not paid their membership fee will be asked to leave the pool.

Guest Policy
  • Guest Fee: $5, per guest. Please have the correct change. Guest fee can be left in the honesty box (on the wall) within the pool house.
  • Each adult member may bring a maximum of four guests per visit.
  • The guest fee should be placed in the red box in the covered pool house area.
  • All guests must be accompanied by a member. Members are responsible for their guests at all times.
  • Guest privileges are for occasional use and are not to be used to bring the same guests on a regular basis.
  • Guests wishing to use the facility regularly must join as members.

Swim Lessons
  • Members are able to book swim lessons at the pool with our designated swim lesson provider.

Ages and Skill
  • Children age 10 and under must be accompanied by a swimmer 18 years of age or older.
  • In order to swim unaccompanied by an adult, the child must be able to swim the length of the pool.
  • The lifeguard may require proof of ability to swim the pool length.

No Rough Play
  • No running, wrestling, pushing, ducking, dunking, rough play, profane language, throwing of objects, or other similar rough or violent activity will be allowed in the pool area.

Diving Board
  • No use of the diving board when there is no lifeguard present.
  • One person at a time on the diving board.
  • Dive from end of board only.  Wait until preceding diver swims clear. 
  • No more than one bounce on the diving board. 
  • Swim immediately to the side of the pool or straight out from the end of the board after diving.  No swimming in area under diving board. 
  • No hanging on board. 
  • Diving is allowed in deep area only.
  • No flips or back dives off side of the pool.

 Food and Drink
  • No glass allowed in the pool area.  Beverages, food, suntan oil, etc. must be in unbreakable containers. Coolers with glass containers must be kept outside of the gates. Members/Guests with glass containers will be asked to remove it from the pool/pool deck. 
  • No food or drinks may be consumed in the water.

Pool Toys/Swim Equipment
  • No oversized rafts are allowed.
  • Inner tubes, floats, rafts or inflatable air mattress are allowed. 
  • Goggles, nose clips, snorkels, fins, pool noodles and kick-boards will be permitted in the pool if, in the judgment of the lifeguard, they do not present a safety hazard.
  • The above listed, permitted toys/equipment may not be left in the pool or outside the member’s perimeter, and should be removed from the pool when members leave for the day.

​Attire and Swim Diapers
  • Bathing suits only may be worn in the pool.
  • DeKalb County rules require that children in diapers must wear Swim Diapers while in the pool.  No rubber pants, cloth diapers, disposable diapers or “bare bottoms” in the pool.  Parents are reminded to take children to the restroom frequently to avoid “accidents” in the pool. Parents, please accompany young children to the bathroom to ensure bathrooms are left clean for other users.

Weather
  • If thunder is heard, the lifeguards will call for everyone to get out of the water for 30 minutes. If it is heard again, the 30 minutes is reset. 

No Smoking
  • In alignment with DeKalb County’s policy, smoking, including cigarettes, smokeless tobacco, and electronic cigarettes, is not permitted in or around the pool. 
Adult Swim
  • From 1 pm to close Adult Swim is offered for 15 minutes, beginning at 45 minutes after the hour. All children must exit the pool until the lifeguard whistles the end of Adult Swim. There is no guard on duty during this 15 minute break.

What if I Want to Swim Laps?
  • Just ask. If you ask, the guard will designate one or more lap swim lanes from 7 pm to close.

Respecting Lifeguards & Pool Management

Lifeguards shall have the authority to discipline swimmers and any and all other persons within the pool facility within their best judgment and sole discretion consistent with the facility rules. Our lifeguards are trained professionals with both the authority and responsibility to ensure a safe, family-friendly atmosphere for everyone.  Please heed all requests by the lifeguards: they are there to enforce the rules and make our pool experience fun and enjoyable.  We appreciate and fully support their efforts to do so, and trust all members and guests will comply with their instructions.

Members not willing to follow the rules enforced by the lifeguards, pool management or Summit Board will be asked to leave the facility. Repeated disrespect and bad behavior will result in revocation of your membership without refund.

Adult Swim the last 15 min of each hour

May 30 - August 3

Sunday - Thursday: 1pm - 8pm
Friday - Saturday: 1pm - 9pm
July 4: 1pm - 9pm
(two lifeguards on duty from 2pm - 5pm)

August 4 - September 7

Monday - Thursday: No lifeguard service
Friday: 4:30pm - 7pm
Saturday: 1pm - 9pm
Sunday: 1pm - 9pm
Labor Day: 1pm - 8pm

If you choose to swim during non-lifeguard hours, you must be 18 years of age or be with a responsible adult.

Swimmers will be responsible for their own safety.
