In order to make social distancing and sanitizing of surfaces as painless as possible this summer, we ask members to be patient with the following:
- Please follow all directions given or requests made by the lifeguard or the pool monitor.
a. The Department of Health requires the hiring of a pool monitor to make sure social distancing and safe disinfection practices are followed. b. If any problems with either the lifeguard or the pool monitor, call the number posted prominently at the pool for concerns. - Do not come to the pool if any member of your family has fever, cough or other symptoms of possible COVID-19. Please see your physician or clinic and be tested.
- Chairs, tables and umbrellas will be available at the pool to use but should not be moved from its marked perimeter. In addition, one picnic table under the pool house awning will be present for use by the pool monitor and lifeguards only. The play equipment in the side yard is being removed, and guests are asked not to use the area or appliances inside the pool house (lifeguard/pool monitor use only).
- Group “perimeters” will be marked on the pool deck, each perimeter providing for 6’ of social distancing between groups. When not in the pool, members and families should stay within their chosen “perimeter”. Do not change perimeters once chosen. Families with more than ___6___ may occupy two perimeters. Towels, chairs, coolers and pool toys (see below) must remain within the perimeter.
- Members and their families should remain with their group both in and out of the pool.
- Goggles, nose clips and snorkels may be used in the pool but should not be left in the pool or shared with anyone outside of the member’s group.
- Do not bring inner tubes or flotation devices (“floaties”) to the pool. Noodles and kick boards may be used but may not be left in the pool or outside the member’s perimeter, and should not be shared with anyone other than those in the member’s group.
- Anything left at the pool (towels, noodles, etc.) will be discarded Tuesday night at close by the lifeguard.
- We are required to keep 4’ of distance from the pool edge free at all times in case of emergency.
- Hand sanitizer will be provided near the restroom entrances. Please use it before opening the door of the restroom, and after exiting the restroom, and help your children learn to do the same.
- The communal picnic tables under the pool house awning will not be available this season due to the difficulty of keeping them sanitized between users during a session.
- No guests and no parties this year.
